Have to love the ? system?

I don't know if the ? should be court system or jail system or both. Aaron was hit with another failure to appear. This one is from a summons he received just days after he went to jail in regards to a credit card he had with a local gas station. He used it but failed to pay the bill. Aaron told me today that when the sheriff brought him the summons he asked the sheriff  how he would get to the courthouse. The sheriff informed him that the jail knows you have a court date, they will get you there. Surprise!!! Who dropped the ball this time?
Aaron actually called to let me know that he was moved stateside. Visiting days have now changed, which is good since my husband hasn't gotten to visit Aaron since he went to jail. He asked if I could wash his clothes so they would be ready when he gets the call about an open bed. He also told me about some of the other guys that have gotten into drug court and how they were given an hour to make it to a treatment facility that was 45 minutes away. Wondering if I should pack a bag and keep it in my car? Hopefully this is where Aaron will go. It is the one requested but is not guaranteed. He could end up at one on the other side of the state. Not that it would necessarily be a bad thing if he went that far, I would rather not have to drive that far.

Plea and sentencing.

Aaron plead guilty today and was sentenced as follows:
count 1. burglary 2nd degree, 5 years
count 2. burglary 3rd degree, 5 years
count 3. burglary 3rd degree, 5 years
count 4. burglary 3rd degree, 5 years
count 5. theft by unlawful taking over $500, 5 years
count 6. theft by unlawful taking under $500, 12 months.
To be served concurrently.

Now here is what will really happen.
Aaron was accepted into drug court so his sentence was actually probated. He will remain in the county jail and sometime in the next 60 days (give or take) when a bed is available Aaron will go to a long term treatment facility for a term of 12 to 18 months. His time there will be based on his progress during treatment. since he will actually be on probation during this time, he will also have to report to and obey probation rules.
Keeping the faith he will succeed!

Uhm.....yeah..... no title today.

It's 5 am. I have been awake for 2 hours now. Thank you kitty! I'm not the only person in that bed, why do you insist that I am the one that needs to let you out of the bedroom? Now I can't go back to sleep.

I haven't posted in a couple of weeks. Not from a lack of things to say, but from a lack of good energy. Everything has been so emotionally draining lately. I don't like the month of October.

Jessica, I have watched you grow up to be a beautiful woman, mother, and wife. Anytime I have a mental picture of you in my head it's always the picture of you with your little broken leg, standing in your mothers kitchen, you were only 2 or 3. Your exact age now forgotten, by me anyway. You are so undeserving of this cruel disease that has been thrown at you. Everybody has been so blessed to have you in our lives. You have touched everybody that has known you the same way your mother did. You are your mother made over. I guess in one way that is not a good thing.
Jessica has been diagnosed five years and one day after the death of her mother with the very disease that took her mother. Stomach cancer. Stage IV. It is already in 14 of the 15 lymph nodes tested. She is only 25. Her son Colton is one. We love you Jess. Stay strong and fight with everything you have. We will be right beside you all the way.

Callie, our third angel baby to go to heaven. I never held you or felt you  move inside of me but loved you from the moment I knew about you. I hoped and prayed you would stay with us, but god had other plans for you. To beautiful for earth. You are 7 this year. October 15th is national pregnancy and infant loss remembrance day.

Dad, how I have missed you so. Tomorrow is your 68th birthday. It's hard to believe you have been gone for 12 years already. Once again that awful disease crept into our lives and turned our world upside down. Cancer is such an unfair and cruel disease. I love you dad. I will bring you some roses tomorrow. Hopefully I can find peach colored this year.

Aaron, my lovely wayward son. I have really missed having you at home, although I must say I have not missed the worry that comes with you being here. I have told you that you are were you need to be at this point in time. It breaks my heart but of course I will survive and so will you. I hope and pray for you to see clearly the path you need to take in life, and you are able to follow it. Not to long ago you had the bull by the horns. Not to many at 19 can say "I own my own business". I have no doubt that you would be sitting on top of the world right now if drugs had not found their way into your life. You were so determined. And how ironic, landscaping, of all things. You absolutely hated mowing grass when you were made to. And remember your 3rd birthday? The new toy lawnmower? How you cried when you realized it wasn't really cutting the grass. See the retaining wall behind that apartment complex? My son built that. See the landscaping in front of that house? My son created that. Oh the Dr's. offices? You seen that did you? Beautiful landscaping isn't it? Yeah, my son did that too. You will, my son, I have no doubt, create again. We love you Aaron.

Aaron will be sentenced sometime in the coming week.
